Madagascar Conservation Event

April 7, 2026 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Tuesday, April 7, 5-8 PM

Join us for an evening of exploration focused on the conservation efforts to save the unique and amazing species of Madagascar.

Enjoy apps and beverages and meet one of the Aquarium’s resident Radiated Tortoises during cocktail hour, followed by a presentation in the River Journey Auditorium. You’ll hear from the Aquarium’s lemur and tortoise experts who will share tales about the animals in our care and the work we do with these species in their native Madagascar. Then, Dr. Timothy Eppley, Chief Conservation Officer for Wildlife Madagascar, will highlight his work within Masoala National Park. Following the presentation, visit the Ocean Journey Tropical Cove for special lemur enrichment activities.

A special onsite silent auction will be open throughout the evening, featuring items from Madagascar, animal art created by our resident lemur species and more!

Copies of Dr. Eppley’s book, Lemurs of Madagascar, will be available for purchase and signing during the event.
