DESCRIPTION:On September 24th\, 2026\, E MLK Blvd will be transformed into a creative hub to elevate and celebrate the photographic talent of the greater Chattanooga Area! Our full day of activities and opportunities will be free and open to all. \nOur inaugural event will feature an afternoon of free photo-based workshops that will take place at the new Small Business Resource Center (332 E M L King Blvd) from 12-5:00pm. Here\, you can learn from a variety of professionals; everything from camera basics\, to professional portraiture\, to building a proper portfolio. \nAfterwards\, at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center (200 E M L King Blvd) we are unveiling the Aperture Exhibition\, a photography showcase made up exclusively of local work. From 5:30-9:00pm\, there will be a reception that features free refreshments\, music\, legendary guest speakers\, activities and more. We would love to have you there! \n– \nThe Chattanooga Aperture Project is a community pillar that provides connection\, education\, accessibility\, and exposure for photographers of all ages and skill levels both in and around the city of Chattanooga. Whether you are a professional\, a photojournalist\, a hobbyist\, an artist\, or you have never even picked up a camera\, we have something catered just for you. \nOur goal is to host recurring workshops\, events\, exhibitions\, and community projects that highlight and celebrate local photographers. DESCRIPTION:Celebrating 11 Years of Coming Together along one long table!\n\nFree and ALL are welcome to join together for a Thanksgiving meal in the middle of Martin Luther King Blvd. There is no fee\, no expectations\, and no agenda — just an open invitation.\n\nFor those who wish to make a contribution to those in need\, you are welcome to bring supplies for the Maclellan Shelter for Families. Bins will be provided for you to drop off items including: nonperishable food\, coffee supplies\, disposable plates & silverware\, hygienic supplies including toothpaste and diapers\, and laundry supplies.\n\nHundreds of volunteers help to make this event possible!
