Just north of Chattanooga, Soddy-Daisy offers peaceful country living, complete with family-friendly neighborhoods, high-quality medical care, and scenic views.

REAL ESTATE

Soddy-Daisy offers waterfront properties, countryside residences, and luxe suburbs to its homeowners. Popular neighborhoods in the area include Sugar Point, Centennial Estates, Big Soddy, Flat Top Mountain, Emerald Bay, Barrington Pointe, Timber Ridge, Cedar Pointe, and Ridge Trail, as well as notable subdivisions such as Stonegate and The Farm. Residential developments in the area offering new and custom homes include Coopers Creek, The Inlet, Morgan Estates, Nature Trail, and Serenity Cove.

EDUCATION

Younger students can attend Soddy Elementary, Daisy Elementary, and Allen Elementary, while older students can attend Soddy Daisy Middle School, Soddy Daisy High School, or Sequoyah High School, which offers vocational courses to its students. The public charter school Ivy Academy pairs education with environmental stewardship for students in grades six through 12. Ivy Academy’s Skillern Elementary is a public charter school for kindergarten through fifth grade.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

Soddy-Daisy offers family medical, dental, and pharmaceutical services in the area. Nearby, emergency care can be found at CommonSpirit – Memorial Hospital – Hixson and Erlanger North Hospital in Red Bank. Recently opened, the Parkridge Soddy-Daisy ER is a fully operational emergency room with 11 beds. As for senior living facilities, Soddy-Daisy has convenient access to nationally recognized facilities in Hixson including Brookdale Hixson, Dominion Senior Living of Hixson, Life Care Center of Hixson, and Morning Pointe of Hixson.

TRANSPORTATION

Highway 27 provides residents easy access to Dayton, Tennessee, as well as downtown Chattanooga. Thoroughfares in Soddy-Daisy also connect to Highway 153 and interstates that lead to the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, as well as major cities such as Knoxville, Nashville, Birmingham, and Atlanta.

GROCERY STORES

Food City, Walmart Supercenter, and Family Dollar are located along Dayton Pike and provide Soddy-Daisy residents with traditional grocery items. A few smaller outposts such as Mountain General Store, Soddy Food King, and Green Pond Corner Grocery also dot the area.

OUTDOORS

Located along the Northern side of Chickamauga Lake, Soddy-Daisy has plenty of water sports to offer. From canoeing and kayaking to fishing and swimming, the variety of lakes and creeks are perfect for family-friendly adventures. Also in the area is one of Tennessee’s newest state parks, North Chickamauga Creek Gorge, offering 6,000 acres that spans across two counties. Nearby is Big Soddy Creek Gulf, a 285-acre wilderness area with hiking trails, mountain and gorge views, rock formations along Big Soddy Creek, and much more. 

PARKS

Soddy-Daisy is home to multiple parks – including Kids Park, Scramble Alley Park, Veterans Park, and Holly Park, which is currently undergoing significant upgrades. All of the parks are managed by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, as well as 12 ball fields, three playgrounds, two basketball courts, and pickleball and tennis courts. Boaters, anglers, and families can enjoy a peaceful day on the waterfront at Holly Park. At Scramble Alley, children can use their imaginations to climb and explore a wooden playground maze, as well as enjoy a family picnic at the spacious pavilion.

ARTS & ATTRACTIONS

The Good Old Days History Museum is perfect for history buffs. Run by the Soddy, Daisy, and Montlake Historical Association, this museum is housed in the Soddy Bank Building, built in 1921. Also in the area is Horsin’ Around, the United States’ only full-time carousel carving school.

FESTIVALS

The area boasts popular festivals like the annual Soddy-Daisy Independence Celebration and the Soddy-Daisy Fall Festival, each held at Soddy Lake. During the holiday season, residents can enjoy the annual Soddy-Daisy Christmas Parade or NoogaLights – a drive-through synchronized light show with select Walk-Thru Nights that allow attendees to experience the magical light displays on foot.

DINING

Soddy-Daisy has no shortage of eateries for every budget and taste, from waterfront grills to family-style restaurants. The area also has many popular fast food chains as well as a variety of American, Mexican, Italian, and Chinese cuisines at casual restaurants.
