 In the Red Bank area, residents can find appealing subdivisions and gated communities. The city’s affordable housing options include craftsman-style builds, newly-constructed homes, and charming townhomes.

Younger students can attend Alpine Crest Elementary and Red Bank Elementary, while older students can attend Red Bank Middle and High Schools. Red Bank is also just a short drive away from a number of Chattanooga’s many private schools.

Erlanger North Hospital offers 24/7 emergency care and is easily accessible in the heart of Red Bank. Three of Chatta-nooga’s major hospital systems, including CHI Memorial, Erlanger, and Parkridge are conveniently located nearby, as are pharmacies and dental care. Red Bank also houses a number of senior living communities, including Life Care Center of Red Bank, StoryPoint Chattanooga, and Charter Senior Living.

Red Bank runs alongside Highway 27, providing residents with access to downtown Chattanooga, the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, and thoroughfares that lead to Nashville, Knoxville, Birmingham, and Atlanta. 

Supermarket chain Food City can be found in the heart of Red Bank, as can Bread and Butter – a locally owned bakery specializing in artisan bread and a variety of local products. Walmart Neighborhood Market is a short drive away, and even more grocery options, including Publix and Whole Foods, can be reached in nearby Northshore. 

Did you know?

Before adopting its present name, Red Bank was known as Pleasant Hill. However, the name was already taken, and when a post office was established in 1881, the community was asked to find a new moniker.
