Lunar New Year at the Creative Discovery Museum

Join us for a Lunar New Year event as we celebrate the year of the Tiger! CDM’s Lunar New Year event gives children and families the opportunity to experience the different ways members of our community celebrate the start of the new year. Members of the Chinese and Japanese communities will be on-site to assist with a variety of hands-on, immersive activities and experiences!
Schedule of activities
12-4 p.m.: Painted tiger masks and red paper collaborate collage in the Art Studio
12:30 p.m.: Dragon procession through the Museum
1:30 p.m.: Folkloric Chinese Dance performance
All activities included with the price of admission. Lunar New Year is a part of CDM’s ArtsLive programming which receives funding support from the Tennessee Arts Commission and ArtsBuild.
