This Memorial Day, active and retired military receive FREE admission to Rock City along with 50% off for military family members up to six people. Discounted tickets must be purchased at the ticket window. Not available online. This Memorial Day weekend, Rock City’s celebration of America’s semi quincentennial 250th anniversary begins, with patriotic festivities all summer long.

Barns2Birdhouses reimagines Rock City’s piece of Americana in a creative and collaborative way. On display at the Hearth Pavilion are 500 barn birdhouses painted by local students and youth mentoring groups.

Americana Days & Nights brings Rock City to life with old-time string music, hands-on play, and moments of reflection. Birds of prey take flight at Freedom Soars, an animal encounter show featuring an American Bald Eagle. Tom Thumb’s Big Little Farm invites kids to explore a farm with actual crops. Take a special America 250 Gnome Quest: Follow Fable, Rock City’s storyteller gnome, on an American field trip through the Enchanted Trails.

Dog Days of Summer kicks off on June 20 and marks the start of the season with a special celebration at Rock City.  Grab your complimentary Pet Bandanas, treats and Adventure Paws-port: a summer-long passport for you and your pup. Pick one up before entry, collect a stamp each visit, and after 5 visits, earn a Rock City dog leash. Each visit enters you for a chance to win a Rock City doghouse—winner announced August 9. There will also be Local Rescue Organizations on site if you’re looking to add to your fam!
