Sip & Stitch!
October 14 from 6-8pm
In this class, students will learn how to construct a couple different types of stitches and will have the option to embroider one of Stitch the Joy owner Rachael’s designs or a custom design of their own (we suggest something simple if it’s your first time like your name, initials a short word or very uncomplicated design). Students can take home the hoop, needle, and thread to complete the project.
Students may bring their own piece of clothing to embroider – anything is fair game!
Racheal suggests that when choosing an item to bring to embroider, we recommend one that is not too stretchy. Natural fibers such as cotton and linen are not as stretchy as synthetic fibers like spandex. Choose an item that is non-stretchy or thicker, such as a sweatshirt, for easier stitching.
All other supplies needed for embroidery will be available to you with your ticket purchase.
All students receive 10% off everything at POMKT, and we encourage everyone to shop small and support our little business if you can.
Complimentary wine will be provided if you would like to sip while you stitch! 🙂 Good music, good people and good vibes are always included! Your hosts for the evening are Julie (Co – Owner / Creative Director of POMKT ) and our dear friend, Alicia M. Dieterich.
