An ISA Certified Arborist will demonstrate climbing techniques on a large, mature tree. We’ll discuss DIY preventative care for your trees as well as when to call an arborist and how to choose a tree service.  We will also practice using a throw-ball (this is how arborists get their ropes into trees to climb them).  The arborist will then lead a tree walk around the property to teach you how to identify different trees and help you gain a deeper understanding of tree health and structure.  This demonstration is great for all ages. Children ages 12 and under are free with parent/guardian ticket purchase!

About the instructors: Benjamin and Chelsea started Scenic City Arborists in 2019 with the goal of providing the highest quality, science based tree healthcare in Chattanooga. Through their experience working in the Chattanooga tree industry, they have developed a deep understanding of Chattanooga’s unique tree species and how to care for them. With five ISA Certified Arborists on staff, they are knowledgeable about the needs of trees and trained to provide proper care for trees.
