Wildflower Walk with TN Native Plant Society
March 16th from 1pm-3:30pm, Leader: Mitchell Kent with the Tennessee Native Plant Society.
We will walk through an arboretum to the creek and then continue along the creek as we view numerous wildflowers. We will cross the creek on a pedestrian swinging bridge and hike along the opposite side of the creek to a Native American village site known as Little Owl Village. Bluebell, bloodroot, spring beauty, trout lily and other wildflowers should be in bloom. We will return along the same trail. Total hiking distance will be about 2.5 miles.

Difficulty: Easy to moderate. Most of the terrain is flat, but a hiking pole may be helpful in some sections.
Facilities: Restrooms are available in the Visitor Center
Food: Bring water and snacks for the trail.
Members are $5 and non-members are $10. This walk will be limited to 15 people. Please register ahead of time to ensure there is a spot for you.
