Affiliated with CommonSpirit Health, CHI Memorial has been serving Chattanooga residents since 1952 and is the region’s only faith-based healthcare system. The healthcare system is a regional referral center of choice, with 4,600 associates and nearly 600 affiliated physicians providing healthcare throughout Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia. CHI Memorial operates a 349-bed main campus in Chattanooga, along with the 74-bed CHI Memorial Hospital Hixson and the 35-bed CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia. Among the specialized providers within CHI Memorial are The Chattanooga Heart Institute, Guerry Heart and Vascular Center, MaryEllen Locher Breast Center, Rees Skillern Cancer Institute, Joseph and Virginia Schmissrauter Centers for Cancer Support, Buz Standefer Lung Center, and Stroke and Neuroscience Center. CHI Memorial offers a network of employed primary care and specialty physicians in 61 locations across Tennessee and North Georgia, as well as walk-in clinics.
