Cheers to the New Year
Creative Discovery Museum
As one of the only New Year’s Eve events in the city designed specifically for children, Cheers to the New Year promises fun for the whole family. From 6 until 8 p.m., visitors can explore the science of carbonation, make New Year’s hats, work with glitter in the Art Studio, and shoot off mini Mentos geysers. At 7:45 p.m. in the Atrium, there will be a New Year’s countdown, dance party, and epic balloon drop to say goodbye to 2021 and hello to 2022. Registration for this event is required.
New Year’s Eve Dinner Train
Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum
What better way to ring in the New Year than aboard a vintage dining car? An annual event at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, the New Year’s Eve Dinner Train departs from Grand Junction Station and travels at a leisurely pace toward urban East Chattanooga. Passengers will enjoy a delicious four-course meal featuring tomato bisque, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread, dessert, and a choice of meat or vegetarian lasagna. Tickets start at $90.
New Year’s Eve Cabaret
The Read House
The historic Read House is hosting its annual New Year’s Eve Cabaret for a fun adults-only night out. Tickets include heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar with two signature cocktails, live entertainment and cabaret dancers, a midnight champagne toast, late-night snacks, and a dessert and coffee bar. Book the entire NYE Party Package to receive overnight accommodations and two drink tickets for the Bloody Mary “Struggle Bus” on New Year’s Day.
New Year’s Eve at Westbound
Westbound Bar
For the dancing queens and country music fans, Station Street’s Westbound Bar is ringing in the New Year with the ultimate country dance party. They’ll be playing favorite country hits from yesterday and today all night long, with a champagne toast at midnight to round out the evening. Doors will open at 8 p.m., and tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
New Year’s Eve on the River
Southern Belle Riverboat
Count down to 2022 on the Southern Belle, one of Chattanooga’s most iconic attractions. During this three-hour cruise, guests will enjoy music, snacks, champagne, party favors, and nighttime views of the Tennessee River. The fun begins at 9 p.m. For those who prefer to be in bed by midnight, a two-hour Early Bird New Year’s Eve Dinner Cruise departs at 4 p.m. and features a buffet-style dinner of prime rib, Cajun chicken, sides, salad, rolls, and dessert.
New Year’s Eve with Mr. Showtime David Scott
The Comedy Catch
Get the last laugh of 2021 at The Comedy Catch, where Mr. Showtime David Scott will be performing his R-rated show for lucky ticket-holders. Featured on HBO and Comedy Central, Scott is a true entertainer who also happens to hold the Guinness World Record for Longest Stand-Up Comedy Show by an individual. There are two opportunities to catch the show – 7 and 10 p.m. – and the 10 p.m. show includes party favors, a champagne toast, and post-show dancing.
New Year’s Eve Gold Party

Local rock powerhouses Opposite Box and Sleazy Sleazy are sending 2021 off in style at WanderLinger Brewing Company’s New Year’s Eve Gold Party. For a $20 cover charge, come enjoy amazing performances along with a solid gold photo booth (perfect for capturing the evening’s memories) and a free champagne toast at midnight. Doors open at 8 p.m. This event is for adults 21 and up.
The Beaters New Year’s Eve Party

Dance the night away to one of Chattanooga’s favorite party bands – The Beaters – who play everything from classic rock and Motown to soul and disco. This New Year’s Eve celebration, to be held from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center, has it all: live music, a huge dance floor, plenty of bartenders, party favors, and a countdown balloon drop. Tickets are $45.
Aloha 2022 NYE Party
The Dwell Hotel
The Dwell Hotel invites guests to “Say Aloha” to 2022 with a Hawaiian-themed celebration. Modern tiki bar Night Pearl will be taking over the entire hotel, creating an oasis of fun music, refreshing drinks, and delicious food. The $30 ticket gets each guest one cocktail, champagne at midnight, and the total tiki experience. Food and drink specials will be available all night long.
Neon Moon’s Neon New Year
The Signal
For a boot scootin’ boogie to remember, head to The Signal on December 31 for a performance by Neon Moon: The Ultimate ‘90s Country Tribute Band. Presented by US 101, Neon Moon’s Neon New Year will take ticket-holders back to the golden era of country music, and plenty of NYE festivities are also in store. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the show to begin at 9 p.m.
