Attack of the Tatsu
Located in the heart of downtown, Attack of the Tatsu is a casual eatery offering ramen, curry, and other Japanese comfort foods, as well as an extensive menu of craft cocktails and Japanese beer. Attack of the Tatsu is open until midnight seven days a week, and they even have a special late night menu that’s only available after 10 p.m. Satisfy your late-night cravings with a Tokyo dog, curry katsu tenders, and $1 sake.
The Bitter Alibi
Opened in 2014, The Bitter Alibi began as a bar basement, with just eight taps and limited dining options. Today, this local eatery has expanded both in size and in offerings. Open until midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, The Bitter Alibi features an eclectic menu, offering dishes such as wonton nachos, pad thai fries, chicken tacos, and much more. Lo Main
Speaking of bars, Lo Main (located on the lower part of Main Street) is another great option for a late-night snack. Open until midnight Sunday through Tuesday and until 2 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday, their late-night food options include burgers, pulled pork, burritos, and more. Lo Main’s “Murder Burger” is well-known in the city, with many locals claiming it’s one of the best burgers in town.
HI-Fi Clyde’s
Offering “good food, good drinks, and good times,” Hi-Fi Clyde’s serves up barbecue, sandwiches, nachos, and more alongside retro vibes, live music, and ping pong and shuffleboard tables. Open until midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, Clyde’s is a great stop for some late-night food accompanied by some late-night fun.
STIR
If you’re in the mood for an oyster bar, craft cocktails, or American eats made with fresh, local ingredients, STIR is the place to be. Open until midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, STIR is located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo and offers both valet and validated parking.
State of Confusion
For Latin American inspired dishes, head to State of Confusion in Chattanooga’s southside, open until midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. State of Confusion offers an authentic, made-from-scratch menu featuring flavorful dishes such as ceviche, skirt steak chimichurri, and pan-seared chicken, accompanied by a variety of cocktails, beers, and aguas frescas.
Goodfellas Pizzeria
This casual pizzeria serves slices, whole pies, calzones, and sandwiches. Patrons can choose from a large variety of specialty pies or opt for a build-your-own option. Goodfellas Pizzeria is open until midnight Sunday through Wednesday, until 1 a.m. on Thursday, and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. For those ages 21 and older, the restaurant’s accompanying bar, Wiseguy Lounge, offers bourbons, cocktails, and beers in a speakeasy atmosphere.
Pickle Barrel
Serving the Chattanooga area since 1982, Pickle Barrel offers craft beers, mixed drinks, and good eats in a unique venue, complete with rooftop dining. Open until 3 a.m. every night of the week, Pickle Barrel offers everything from fried pickle spears to sandwiches, burgers, and more. Jack Brown’s
Located off of Georgia Avenue, Jack Brown’s offers “great food, cold beers, and good vibes” until midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Featuring a creative menu, including burgers topped with cream cheese, peanut butter, and more, each patty is made with 100% American Wagyu beef. Jack Brown’s offers some of Chattanooga’s favorite burgers, and they won first place during Chattanooga Burger week in 2023 and 2024.
Shady’s Corner
Shady’s Corner is a neighborhood bar “for freaks, weirdos, and ne’er-do-wells on the southside of Chattanooga.” Open until 3 a.m. every day of the week, the bar offers an all-day deli and an all-day bar. In addition to an expansive menu, including sandwiches, hot dogs, and more, Shady’s Corner features TVs, pool, pinball, and an arcade to keep you entertained while you wait for your food.
City Café Diner
For those looking for a diner open late, City Café offers three locations in the area—one downtown, one off of Lee Highway, and one in Cleveland, with the downtown location open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
