The 2026 National Convention and Train Show rolls into Chattanooga from July 27 through August 2, 2026, bringing together model railroad enthusiasts, collectors, and families from across the country for a week of creativity, craftsmanship, and community.
Centered at the Chattanooga Convention Center, the convention runs July 27–31 and features a full schedule of engaging activities, including the popular “Modeling with the Masters” workshops, immersive layout tours showcasing incredible model railroads, and opportunities to connect with some of the hobby’s most talented builders.
The excitement continues with the National Train Show, open to the public on August 1–2, where visitors can explore stunning operating layouts, browse a wide variety of vendors, and experience the magic of model railroading up close.
A special highlight of this year’s event includes a world-record attempt by T-TRAK N scale modular railroaders, making this a must-see moment for attendees of all ages.
