Shuptrine’s Gallery is honored to present, In the Copper, a special summer exhibition featuring internationally renowned artist, Stephen Scott Young. Widely regarded as one of the foremost living watercolorists, Young’s masterful works are celebrated for their extraordinary technical brilliance, emotional depth, and timeless portrayal of everyday life.
This exhibition showcases a distinguished selection of Young’s hand-pulled copperplate etchings alongside his highly sought-after watercolors. Demonstrating an exceptional command of both mediums, the collection offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience the artist’s meticulous craftsmanship—from the rich tonal complexity of his etchings to the luminous beauty of his watercolor paintings.
“In the Copper” will be on display July 7th – August 31st, with an Open House on Thursday, July 23rd, 5-7pm. Young’s work is available at Shuptrine’s Gallery, 2613 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN.
