Founded in 1967, Cleveland State Community College is an accredited public community college operating within the governance of the Tennessee Board of Regents. It serves approximately 3,500 credit students and 1,500 non-credit students, offering associate degrees in science, arts, and applied science, along with 24 technical certificates. Cleveland State’s student body comes from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, and the average age is 28 years old. In addition to the offerings on the main campus, Cleveland State has offices and classrooms in Athens and Monroe County and offers classes throughout its service area of Bradley, Meigs, McMinn, Monroe, and Polk counties.
