Founded in 1967, Cleveland State Community College is an accredited public community college operating within the governance of the Tennessee Board of Regents. It serves approximately 3,200 credit students and 1,500 non-credit students, offering associate degrees in science and applied science and more than 25 technical certificates. Cleveland State’s student body comes from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, and the average age is 21 years old. In addition to the offerings on the main campus, Cleveland State has offices and classrooms in the McMinn Higher Education Center in Athens and the Monroe County Center in Vonore. The college offers classes throughout its service area of Bradley, Meigs, McMinn, Monroe, and Polk counties.
