No shopping spree is complete without a trip to Hamilton Place Mall, one of the largest shopping complexes in Tennessee. Located in East Brainerd just off I-75, this major shopping hub offers 1 million square feet of retail space and is home to large department stores alongside favorite brands supplying beauty products, toys, electronics, footwear, accessories, and gift items. In addition to retail, there’s fun for the whole family at Dave & Buster’s arcade, nearby adventure parks, and Regal Hamilton Place cinema. Several outdoor shopping centers surrounding Hamilton Place Mall, such as Hamilton Corner, Hamilton Crossing, Hamilton Village, and The Shoppes at Hamilton Place. Several high-end jewelers, including Markman’s and Fink’s, are in the area, as well as popular grocers such a Trader Joe’s and The Fresh Market. Dining options abound within the mall and in the area, from upscale steakhouses to more casual fare.
Northgate Mall, Hamilton Place’s sister property, provides Hixson-area shoppers with major retailers like Belk, Bath & Body Works, and Hibbett Sports, as well as locally-owned specialty stores like Chattanooga Yarn Co., For the Record, Epikos Comics, and the Funkey Munkey Market. Surrounding shopping complexes offer boutiques, vintage and antique stores, bookstores, an AMC Classic movie theater, and a variety of beauty and wellness services.
Originally a fort during the Civil War, the buildings of Warehouse Row have since been transformed into a chic shopping center in the heart of downtown. This revitalized historic space is home to local shops, eateries, and other retail offerings such as home furnishings, cosmetics, and eyewear. Peruse one-of-a-kind apparel at boutiques like Embellish, Hemline, and Onward Reserve, or visit larger brands like lululemon athletica, Anthropologie, Madewell, and J. Crew. Shopped up an appetite? Warehouse Row is home to several dining options, including Southern fare, locally roasted coffee, and a Japanese-inspired pub.
Also located in the City Center, the West Village is a vibrant district featuring trendy retail offerings. Here, shoppers can peruse shops such as the upscale boutique Antibes, artisan florist Fox & Fern, and home décor boutique Furnish. Other services on offer include Epic Optical eye care and the Chestnut Strand salon. Complement your shopping spree with an elegant meal from one of the popular West Village bistros and cafés, or check out a nearby eatery for coffee, sweet treats, tacos, or late-night drinks.
In addition to Chattanooga’s many shopping centers and mixed-use developments, shoppers can find a change of pace among many trendy neighborhood retail offerings. Easily accessed by the walkable Walnut Street Bridge, the Northshore Merchants Collective accounts for an eclectic mix of shopping, dining, salons, and other services. Window-shoppers can browse used books and records, outdoor gear, a plant nursery with aesthetic odds and ends, handmade gift items, vintage attire, home goods, and more. Just down the road, a collection of shopping strips at One North Shore, 2 North Shore, and Signal Mill offer additional high-end stores and services. There are plenty of dining options to stave off your hunger, from local coffee shops and ice cream to barbecue, sushi, and fine dining at Frazier Five & Dime and Zaya 1943 Korean Steakhouse.
Just a short drive away from Northshore, the charming Riverview neighborhood offers a collection of local small businesses and restaurants. Find luxury apparel for men and women at The Blue Collection, or peruse the shelves of The Book & Cover, an independent bookstore. Danshire Market and Design supplies a variety of home décor and signature gifts, while Queens Kitchen & Market offers up local produce and imported grocery items to help you level-up dinner night. Be sure to check out the restaurants here too, which range from brunch to fine dining.
To the south of the river, the City Center boasts upscale jewelers and clothiers like Yacoubian Tailors, Bruce Baird Clothiers, and Fischer Evans Jewelers. You can also find the MoonPie General Store with local MoonPies and retro gifts. Nearby, the famous Chattanooga Choo Choo and dynamic Southside neighborhood is home to vintage and antique stores, galleries, and artisanal meat and cheese offerings.
Cambridge Square is a stylish, mixed-use neighborhood offering popular dining and shopping spots in Ooltewah. This community-centric development includes boutiques, jewelers, home décor, and a florist, among locally-owned services and eateries. Shoppers can dine at local favorites, offering hand-tossed pizza, Southern classics, fine wine, and more.
To the northeast of Chattanooga, nearby Cleveland offers a charming downtown area with a unique collection of restaurants, clothiers, and other retailers. Shoppers can find home décor, jewelry, bridal wear, second-hand books, antiques, as well as specialty items like running gear and quilting supplies.
