Morning: Enjoy a Local Favorite Coffee Shop and Urban Hike

For a great coffee and delicious pastry to start your day right, look no further than (Be)Caffeinated. This locally-owned, drive-thru coffee shop is open daily and offers a variety of coffee and tea drinks, as well as hot chocolate, lemonade, and more. They also have delicious food offerings from local bakeries, such as bagels, biscuits, egg bites, and cookies, letting you fuel up before a day of adventure.

After breakfast, head to Stringers Ridge – a 92-acre historic property with seven miles of urban hiking and biking trails. There are several different trail options at varying distances and degrees of difficulty, and many of the trails have beautiful overlooks with views of Northshore, the Tennessee River, and the waterfront. Be sure to read the signs at the beginning of the trails as the direction of traffic changes daily, and differs based on if you are hiking or biking.

Afternoon: Play and Sip

Red Bank is home to some fantastic outdoor parks and recreation areas for all to enjoy. Kid’s Corner Park, located right downtown at the city park, has a large playground and greenspace, along with free pickleball and tennis courts. Another great option, White Oak Park offers fields, a pavilion, playground, and dog park. Whatever activity you choose to enjoy, a morning at the park is a great way to soak up the sun!

After the park, catch an afternoon happy hour at Spritzeria, a newer addition to Red Bank. With a Mediterranean-inspired menu, the bar offers a variety of Instagram-worthy spritzes, cocktails, and mocktails to enjoy alongside a full bar. In addition to drinks, they also have snacks and unique pizza offerings called Gozitan ftira, inspired by pizza from the island of Gozo in Malta.

Evening: Dinner, Dessert, and Drinks

Red Bank has a variety of food options such as pizza, Mexican restaurants, and Asian fare. Red Bank is also home to an iconic Chattanooga restaurant, Dub’s Place. As one of the many five-star reviews says, visiting Dub’s feels like a step back in time. The vintage diner-style spot is known for their burgers, fries, and delicious ice cream, but they also serve up smoked meats, hot dogs, chicken tenders, along with classic sides such as baked beans and slaw.

If you were hoping for a more upscale dinner, downtown Chattanooga or Northshore are both just minutes away and have myriad options for upscale dining featuring a variety of cuisines.

After your meal, head to Clever Alehouse, a locally-owned family-friendly neighborhood restaurant and bar. Along with food and drinks, they also serve hand-dipped ice cream from the Clever Creamery with 12 rotating flavors to choose from, and have several arcade games. Grab a drink or an ice cream and head to their spacious patio, or challenge your friends to some arcade classics.

From urban trails to beautiful city parks and delightful eats and drinks, you can’t go wrong with a day spent in Red Bank.
