How we started:

Our company began with a belief that an architect-led design build business could make things better – for a family, for a neighborhood, and for an entire community. We feel that people in our society can be fanatical about design when it comes to their phone, computer, TV, clothes, or car. Yet, too often, they make compromises when it comes to their home, arguably the most important tangible asset in their lives. We feel truly privileged to work as a custom residential architect and builder that helps families create homes that are filled with architectural beauty and customized function and make their lives better.

We believe our clients deserve exceptional design, a fun and engaging process, and a relationship-based approach to everything we contribute to our custom experience. Our team:

Our 20-person team is led by our CEO and lead architect, Kent DeReus. Kent lives in Chattanooga at Black Creek, where he designed and built a custom model home for his family.

We are custom residential architects and builders that create homes across the spectrum of style, size, and budget.  We also offer a portfolio of predesigned homes for clients who desire a quicker path to delivery.

We happily serve our clients across many different geographic regions. At Black Creek, we are the exclusive architect and builder for the release of the latest 36-lot development, Sunset Ridge.
